Christmas Fundraiser 2020

Thank you to all of the parents who crafted and created and contributed to our Christmas Fundraiser! We had to do things a little differently, but with thanks to the wonderful humans in Budds Restaurant, we were able to set up a table for our gifts and crafts. Lead Teacher – Applications Open

The committee of Two Rivers Kindergarten are seeking applications for the position of Head Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to work in this Steiner led pre-school in the idyllic surroundings of An Sanctoir, Ballydehob. This is a part-time position (25 hours per week) supporting one Assistant Teacher in a low child-teacher ratio school. The successful candidate will: – Hold Early Childhood Qualifications (min. Luka Bloom Fundrasier Concert in An Sanctoir

We are very happy to announce that Luka Bloom will be playing a special concert in An Sanctoir in Ballydehob on June the 17th to raise funds for the Two Rivers Kindergarten. Luka will be supported by the amazing Alyanya on the evening. Tickets can be bought from Budds or Levis Cornerhouse in Ballydehob and are €15 each. Open Day 2016 – Saturday March 12th 2-4pm

We will be hosting our annual Open Day in March. Clonakilty Games festival – lots of fun for the whole family (and free!)

The Clonakilty games festival is running again this year for the 3rd time and has some great treats on offer for games enthusiasts, kids, families and anyone who likes a bit of competitive fun! The festival runs from the 19th to the 21st of february 2016 and the streets of Clonakilty are transformed into a playground for all ages!! There’s a lot on offer – A Pirate Pete puppet & magic show, a Lego exhibition for your bussing builders, Mask making workshops, board game competitions and a special animal search on Sunday. How we prepare Bean Sprouts

We use bean sprouts in a few of our lunch recipes here at the Kindergarten and this is how we prepare them. We steep the bean sprouts on a Monday morning. We then rinse the sprouts each morning and place them in a glass jug in a warm place. they are ready to eat in 3-4... read more

Brown Rice, Lentils & Bean Sprouts – Fridays

On Fridays we have Rice, Lentils and Bean Sprouts at the Kindergarten. Ingredients 1 Cup of Short grain Brown rice 1/2 cup of brown lentils 3 cups of water Olive oil & Tamari (we mix a little tamari with a lot of oil in a jar and shake it well) Bean sprouts (see how we prepare our sprouts here)   Method Cook the rice and lentils until all the water is gone. Pasta – Thursdays

On Thursdays we make pasta for lunch at the Kindergarten. Ingredients Brown pasta White pasta Cheddar Cheese Bean sprouts (see how we prepare our sprouts here) Olive Oil & Tamari (we mix a little tamari with a lot of oil in a jar and shake it well) Method Cook the pasta in boiling water. Millet – Wednesdays

On Wednesdays we make millet for lunch at the Kindergarten. Ingredients 1 Cup of Millet 1 Cup of Water Fruit Olive Oil & Tamari (we mix a little tamari with a lot of oil in a jar and shake it well) Method Cook at a low heat, stirring continuously, until all the water is gone. Keep the lid on to steam the millet further Chop up fruit Serve millet with olive oil and tamari, natural yoghurt and fruit... read more

Bread Rolls – Tuesdays

On Tuesdays we make bread rolls with the children at the Kindergarten. Ingredients Whole spelt flour White spelt flour dried yeast Salt Olive oil Warm water Honey 4 seed mix (can be put into the dough) Method   Mix some honey in warm water. Two parts whole flour to one part white Mix all the ingredients together. Roll into little balls (or into dog / dinosaur / star / cat shapes!) Advent Spiral Sunday the 6th of December

The annual Advent Spiral event will be held this Sunday the 6th of December. All Kindergarten children and their parents are invited to attend this magical event. The spiral will be in An Sanctoir and will start at 4.30pm. Please note that it is advised not to wear flowing dresses, long scarves etc. because of the candles.... read more
